It’s been confirmed in the Swedish media Adrian Bershia has joined Laholms FC from Halmstad’s BK, despite interest from Leeds United.

Laholms Tidning have reported the 19 year old has returned to Laholms, after initially being with the Swedish third division club as a junior.

Since 2016 the forward has been playing for Halmstad’s youth teams, and despite scoring 30 goals in 42 games for their u19s last seaosn he’s been allowed to leave before the Swedish window closes.

Last month we covered reports from Sweden that Bershia had travelled to England to have a week’s trial with Leeds United.

At the time the youngster said he wanted to land a contract with Leeds United, and was hoping he’d done enough to impress the Championship side: “I’m here to get a contract, then we’ll see how it goes. I hope the coaches are happy with me. I am satisfied with myself.”

However, it seems for the time being Leeds United will not be taking Bershia on, but there is still hope for his former Halmstads’ teammate Noel Tornqvist.

The 16 year old two weeks ago had his second trial with the English club, after initially being put through his paces last November.
