According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce held talks until 3am this morning to discuss the signing of Chelsea forward Diego Costa.

With the Turkish transfer window set to close today, Fenerbahce were hoping to bring in Costa on loan, but it seems the Spain international will remain at Chelsea at least until January.

Fotomac report Fenerbahce held talks to sign the Chelsea player long into last night, but couldn’t reach an agreement over a deal. Yesterday it was reported Chelsea were willing to loan Costa to the Turkish giants, whether it be on a six or twelve month deal.

However, it’s claimed the final decision came down to Costa, and it seems Fenerbahce couldn’t persuade the 28 year old to move to Turkey.

The Chelsea outcast has shown a desire to return to his former club Atletico Madrid, and it looks like he will wait for this move.

Despite Fenerbahce not sealing an agreement to sign Costa, it looks certain Tottenham Hotspur forward Vincent Janssen will be heading to Istanbul before the Turkish deadline. Tottenham have agreed to loan Janssen to the Yellow Canaries, and the player is now in Turkey to discuss personal terms.
