West Bromwich Albion remain interested in Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan after their January efforts for the player.

That’s according to Sabah, who throw the Baggies into the mix today following reports around Everton and Crystal Palace yesterday.

Ajansspor reported that both clubs are keen on the midfielder, with Palace out in front after following the player for some time.

Their interest goes back to January when they made several efforts to secure his signature, only to be knocked back by Fenerbahce, who didn’t want to lose their key man.

Sabah now put West Brom back in the race, saying they are ‘closely interested’ in the 26-year-old, although there may be one major disadvantage.

That is Tufan himself, who does not ‘look very warm to this club’ as they are currently on the ‘relegation line’.

In other words, he’s not interested in joining a relegation-threatened club and is even less likely to want to join a relegated club.

That suggests West Brom have zero to no chance of getting their man, whose club expect his €20m release clause to be met if they are going to let him go.
