Serie A side Roma seem to have a new solution to unblock their long time chase for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka.

As explained by website Il Romanista today, the Giallorossi already have the green light from the player for the move, and currently struggle to match the Gunners’ demands for him.

It’s said Arsenal currently demand between €23m and €25m for the sale, while Roma director Tiago Pinto seems ‘inflexible’ to offer over €15m.

So the ‘key to unblock the impasse’ could be the inclusion of a player, and a solution would be Amadou Diawara.

Il Romanista points out that Arsenal have put Lucas Torreira in the transfer list for the summer and could be looking for a midfielder.

They say the Gunners have followed Diawara ‘with interest in a recent past’ and he is a ‘welcome name’ at the Emirates Stadium.

That’s why a ‘flashback must be taken into consideration’.

However, the website also claims the the 23-year-old is ‘one of the eligible names’ in Roma’s list for a swap, so perhaps some other options could end up on the table too.
