Several players are expected to leave Inter Milan in the near future. One of them being Geoffrey Kondogbia, who has been struggling to get enough playing time at the Serie A club.

There have been reports claiming the French midfielder could leave on loan in January, with an option to make it permanent for €21m-€22m. The 23-year-old faced a lot of criticism under Frank de Boer, and things haven’t changed under Stefano Pioli.

In a surprise turn of events, Rai Sport journalist Paolo Paganini (via Inter News) has claimed Kondogbia could be moving to Chelsea. Antonio Conte’s club are linked with many players in Serie A, usually defenders, and Kondogbia hasn’t been one of the regular ones.

Paganini said Kondogbia is going ‘towards’ Chelsea, insinuating a deal could be on as part of Inter’s winter window.

The former AS Monaco midfielder was highly rated in France before his move to Inter, but has faded away in the past couple of years. Still only 23, Kondogbia could very well revive his career at another club, but it remains to be seen if it’d be at Chelsea.
