The Munir and Tottenham Hotspur stories rumble on in Spain, after Catalan newspaper Sport kicked them off on Monday with a full page story.
Sport said Tottenham were interested in the Barcelona player, because they saw buying Munir as ‘a good market opportunity’. That sounds to us like Sport think Tottenham sense a good value deal, and a player who could rise in value.
The same newspaper continue their claims on Tuesday, albeit with a smaller article. Sport say Munir’s priority is to stay at Barcelona, but if he can’t do that then he fancies a move to the Premier League.
In this article, Tottenham are the only other club mentioned for Munir, but it’s also stated that Spurs haven’t yet submitted a transfer offer for the 20 year old left footer.
Munir is in a tricky situation, Barcelona are trying to find a back-up to their trident of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar, and when they’ve done that… Munir is almost certainly out.
The Spain capped youngster would be counting on a Spurs bid actually happening, or having to look at other options.
