Feyenoord have reached an agreement with Chelsea youngster Ian Maatsen over a move this summer but are yet to do a deal with the Blues.
That’s according to Voetbal International, who say the left-back is one of several options being looked at by the Dutch club.
They’re planning on selling Tyrell Malacia this summer, and he will need to be replaced if he does depart.
Chelsea’s Maatsen is one of several options on their list, alongside the likes of Daley Sinkgraven and Joshua Brenet.
He’s likely to leave Stamford Bridge again this summer after a successful loan spell with Coventry City last season, and several clubs are thought to be keen.
Feyenoord are one of them, with it reported back in April that they were considering making a bid for him as the opportunity for a deal was there.
VI say they’ve now taken steps to getting their man, reporting that Maatsen has ‘already reached an agreement’ with the Eredivisie side.
They, though, are yet to come to an agreement with Chelsea over a deal, but the indication is that talks are underway to make that happen.
Feyenoord first need to sell Malacia before needing a replacement, but Maatsen has already taken one step towards the move.
