Diogo Dalot’s transfer to Manchester United continues to be confirmed by the Portuguese press this Tuesday, with several outlets saying the deal is done.
One of these sources is A Bola, who claims that the announcement should be done today. Not necessarily by the Premier League side, but at least by Porto.
A Bola says that Manchester United will be paying around €24m for the transfer. That was a request from the player, who didn’t want to leave the Dragons by triggering the €20m release clause.
Dalot has been in London with his sister, and is said to be waiting for the green light to have his medical and sign a five-year contract with the Red Devils.
Newspaper Record also has a story about the move, claiming that the amount will only be known once Porto announce it, but should be of around €22.5m.
The outlet claims that José Mourinho wants Dalot to develop ‘under Antonio Valencia’s shadow’, and ‘in a near future’, get a place in the starting team.
