Globo have confirmed Sport’s claims from this morning: Gabriel Jesus has accepted a transfer to Manchester City.

The deal is set to be formalised in the next few days. What convinced the wonderkid to sign for the English club was a fifteen minute call from Pep Guardiola.

The information is from Eric Faria, a reporter from TV Globo, who must certainly be sure of what he’s saying to claim that on a national network.

It’s also uncommon for Globo reporters to break their own news on TV, which shows they are taking this transfer very seriously.

Gabriel Jesus reportedly told Guardiola he wants to stay at Palmeiras until the end of the year, as the club are fighting for the league title and are currently on top of the table.

According to Faria, City will pay around €32m for the striker’s transfer.

We reckon City are landing a huge talent, as Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG and Real Madrid are all missing a big chance, since they could land him for only €24m due to a contract clause.
