Oguzhan Ozyakup is continually linked with moves to Premier League clubs. The Turkish press credit the English press and it goes around in a big circle with new clubs being dragged in.

Of course, with Ozyakup coming through the Arsenal youth system, Tottenham interest would be especially prized to create a buzz and these claims have been circling around this week.

Turkish newspaper HaberTurk say it’s expected that Tottenham Hotspur will offer €12m for the midfielder, who it’s claimed Mauricio Pochettino ‘likes very much’.

Tottenham can be added to Arsenal (a return), West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Sunderland and Stoke City, with all them being linked over the past few months or so. And that’s just Premier League clubs, there’s quite a few more around Europe.

It’s handy for Ozyakup that all this interest, including that of Tottenham, starts to pop up at just around the time the player is set to renegotiate his Besiktas contract, which ends in June 2018.

Besiktas will feel pressured into offering the 24 year old a good deal, but it wouldn’t be a surprise, if any of the interest is true, if the Turkish club explore the idea of a sale.

It’s just unlikely that would be to Tottenham, and Besiktas would likely want more than €12m.
