West Brom and Bournemouth have been linked with interest in Morgan Sanson for a week or so. France Football covered the situation at the end of December, and it was explained that West Brom and Bournemouth would be facing competition from the likes of Borrusia Dortmund, Lyon and Marseille.
The latter have already made a move, with L’Equipe reporting an offer of €6m, with the potential to rise to €7m, has been put forward. However, this has been dismissed out of hand by Sanson’s current club Montpellier and they simply won’t accept anything like that.
The French club’s president Louis Nicollin has made it clear the price on a sale this winter: “Between 10 and 15 million.”
Nicollin isn’t one to mince his words and certainly not one to back down, so West Brom and Bournemouth would have to structure a deal in which Montpellier and their president looked to be winners.
AS Roma have joined the list of interested clubs, and it’s clear the 22 year old midfielder is attracting attention.
